Terms of service
Effective 2 October 2026.
1. Who we are
Lockeon is operated by aunoma spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością (aunoma sp. z o.o.), ul. Górnych Wałów 15/3, 44-100 Gliwice, Poland, entered in the National Court Register (KRS) kept by the District Court in Gliwice, 10th Commercial Division of the National Court Register under number 0001072571, NIP 6312717805, REGON 527083423, share capital PLN 5,000(“we”, “us”). You can reach us at contact@lockeon.me.
2. What Lockeon does
Lockeon delivers messages and files as sealed deliveries. Content is encrypted in the sender’s browser, can be opened once with a password the sender sets, and is destroyed afterwards. Every delivery keeps an access record. Lockeon also provides private e-mail addresses that receive mail on your behalf.
The Personal plan is free of charge. The Professional and Confidential plans are paid subscriptions; what each plan includes is described on the pricing page and in your account. Features and limits may change; we announce material changes to a paid plan in advance.
Paid plans
- Professional is billed in advance for each period shown at checkout and renews automatically until you cancel.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card details.
- You can cancel at any time from your account. The plan stays active until the end of the period already paid for, then the account returns to Personal; amounts already paid are not refunded, except where the law requires it.
- If you are a consumer, you ask us to start the service immediately when you subscribe. You may still withdraw within 14 days; we may then charge for the part of the period already used.
- If a payment fails we may return the account to Personal after notifying you. Content that exceeds the Personal limits is not deleted because of that, but new deliveries follow the Personal limits.
3. Your account
- You need an account to seal deliveries and to hold private addresses. Recipients do not need one.
- You must give a working e-mail address and keep your account password confidential.
- You must be at least 18 years old, or act on behalf of a business that has authorised you.
- You may delete your account at any time from the account page.
4. Passwords and links are yours alone
Unless you ask us to pass them on (the link by e-mail, the password by SMS), the password of a delivery and the secret part of its link never reach our servers, and we never store them. The same goes for the password of an upload request. We cannot recover them, reset them, or open a delivery for you or for anyone else. If the link or the password is lost, or the single opening is used up, the content is gone and you will need to seal a new delivery.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use Lockeon to:
- send or store content that is illegal, or whose transfer is illegal, in Poland or in your country;
- distribute malware, run phishing or fraud, or send unsolicited bulk messages;
- infringe the rights of others, including privacy and intellectual property rights;
- attack, overload or probe the service, or get around its limits.
We cannot read sealed content, but we act on reports and on the metadata we hold. We may suspend or close an account, disable a private address, or destroy a delivery where we have reason to believe these terms are being broken. Report abuse to abuse@lockeon.me.
6. What the service does not promise
- Once a recipient has opened a delivery they can copy, photograph or forward what they see. No tool can prevent that.
- The access record shows what our servers observed: time, network address, and the device the browser reported. It does not establish a person’s identity.
- Mail arriving at a private address from outside travels over ordinary e-mail. With the encrypted mailbox it is sealed to your key on arrival; the ordinary IMAP mailbox stores unencrypted copies.
- If you ask us to text a delivery password to the recipient, that password passes through our systems and our SMS provider. If we also e-mail the link for the same delivery, both pass through our systems. We store neither, but for such a delivery we no longer hold only data we cannot use.
- Lockeon is not a backup or an archive. Do not use it as the only copy of anything you need to keep.
7. Availability
We work to keep Lockeon available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may carry out maintenance, and we may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service we will give account holders at least 30 days’ notice by e-mail.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are liable only for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, and not for lost profits or for content that was destroyed in line with how the service is designed to work. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumers have under mandatory law.
9. Complaints and withdrawal
Send complaints to contact@lockeon.me; we answer within 14 days. If you are a consumer you may withdraw from this agreement within 14 days of creating your account, without giving a reason, by deleting the account or writing to us. Consumers in the EU may also use out-of-court dispute resolution bodies.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will tell account holders by e-mail at least 14 days before a material change takes effect. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before that date.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by Polish law. Disputes with businesses are heard by the court competent for our registered office. Consumers keep the protection of the mandatory rules of their country of residence and may sue in their local courts.
